hi guys, i'm not sure if there's a thread about this already. i've been "wowed" by IR photography lately and i've been wanting to give it a try. i don't have any clues about it (i don't even know what an IR filter looks like!).
just wanted to ask what IR filter/s would you guys recommend? where can i get them and for around how much?? i've heard that there are specific IR filter for different lenses. the lenses i'm planning to use with an IR filter are my 16-35 L and 24-70 L.
appreciate your reply guys! thanks in advance! :D

Hi John,
Best IR Filter available so far is the Hoya R72 IR filter. 77mm for the 2 lenses you mentioned.. I got mine from Avenue for 6900. Quite pricey.. but once you get a hang of it.. It's worth it. :)
Tried IR on those lenses, and they're compatible with the R72 - no hotspots :)
