I like the Spice Box. I wonder how is it in color. TFS.

In my opinion the sepia or desaturated colors fits the last photo (stairs). But for the photos of the spices it would be good to see them in colored, to see the variations of colors and textures of the spices. More saturation would also be fitting.
Good compositions in your photos. Looks like you captured a very broad aspect of life here in Dubai during your trip here.

thanks sandro.. i really miss the place. yes i thought so too. i just made it a point to convert most of my souk shots into mono and place them into chronological order for this series. regarding the saturation, that's about as saturated as it can get without going overboard. those spices really look dull in real life. :)

i'll create a new thread on the colored ones where the colors are vibrant at the textile souks, etc. :)

Love the consistent feel of your set, and I'm not even talking about the sepia effect, just the subject, location and motion of the whole scene... Thanks for sharing :D

I agree withSandro the spices are best captured in color. I like your people shot. I wish I can take candid photos of people here in Dubai but somehow I always have second thought of shooting people here in Dubai after my not so good experience a year ago.
