View Full Version : DPP Apparel and Columbia Sportswear
Nick Tuason 02-22-2007, 01:27 PM Announcement everyone. DPP and Columbia Sportswear just inked a deal for Columbia to become the official apparel supplier of DPP. For those of you who don't know the brand, just go to any fashionable mall in the Philippines and you will find a Columbia store there. The company, by far, creates the best outdoor gear of any company I know. Their products fit photographers perfectly from their basic cotton shirts, to their tech wear that offer moisture reduction and even UV protection. Ladies will also be happy because Columbia also has a great assortment for Ladies.
As for DPP, Columbia will be creating a special DPP T-Shirt. They will also make available a selection of their tech apparel that can have the DPP logo placed on it. We are working out the logistics now on how to get custom ordered DPP shirts. We will also try to work out a system where DPP members will be given special discounts on purchased items other than DPP product.
On top of all this, Columbia will also be active with DPP. Expect some outdoor photo events/contests in the near horizon.
I'll post more over the next few days.

Roro Fernandez 02-22-2007, 03:47 PM This is a really great news. Columbia is one of my trusted apparel brand when I was still active in mountaineering back then. It was not available locally that time but I still did get a Columbia Titanium climbing jacket & pants. They're still intact after more than 7 years of use :)

dino_de_leon 02-23-2007, 09:07 AM to all,
we are still working on the design/s at this point...perhaps nick is the right person to answer as to when the official launch date of the shirt is. but rest assured it's in between tomorrow and 2 months from now ;)

mitzpicardal 02-24-2007, 10:24 AM Good job Nick & Dino.
Aris Guerrero 02-24-2007, 10:41 AM kudos dpp and columbia! collared shirt please.
or how about pocket tees? or DPP logo on the left chest and Digital Photographer Philippines printed at the back.
the bag i use as a camera bag is a Columbia. :)
mitzpicardal 02-24-2007, 10:46 AM Can i have another choice?
I own a couple of TNF and Columbia Trail Polo. Long sleeve which can be converted to short sleeve with back and side air vent. I use these everytime i go outdoors shooting. I think this is perfect for DPP outdoor photographers. Lots of pockets for photo accessories. It would be nice to have a DPP logo embroidered infront.
Nick Tuason 02-24-2007, 12:10 PM Trail Polo Shirts and other models of Columbia's Top Tier apparel may be made available for DPP members. We are working out the minor details now with them. Most likely a DPP logo can be placed over the left pocket or something. Columbia will also work by providing a discount for those who purchase DPP logo products.
Nino Estrada 02-24-2007, 01:04 PM wow! at last DPP shirts.
@Nick- can we put an additional DPP logo at the back, below the neckline between the shoulder blades maybe?
vien_cortez 02-25-2007, 05:44 AM Yay! Finally, DPP shirts! :)
Jun Tordillo 02-25-2007, 11:56 AM Round Neck Cotton T-Shirt- DPP logo on chest Color=gray
does this comes with Columbia warranty if its gray item?
raymondgayondato 02-25-2007, 03:25 PM hoping that it will have a size for fashionably plump people like me.. :)
joseph_acapuyan 02-25-2007, 03:26 PM yehey  finally we can get to have one :) kudos to Nick and to DPP for taking care of this...
dino_de_leon 02-26-2007, 08:39 AM to jun,
these will still be authentic Columbia apparel so no grey issues like in our camera gears ;)
Red Dungca 02-26-2007, 08:53 AM Trail Polo Shirts and other models of Columbia's Top Tier apparel may be made available for DPP members. We are working out the minor details now with them. Most likely a DPP logo can be placed over the left pocket or something. Columbia will also work by providing a discount for those who purchase DPP logo products.
Just a question Sir? Am I already a member of dpp since Im already a member of this forum? or is there a separate membership for dpp per se? I had another membership in one forum (not photography related) but they have a separate membership for the club itself and being a member of the forum does not of itself becomes a member of the club per se.:)
