"optical viewfinder, raw capabilities, and 1080p video recording"

small brother indeed but with big features!

Half of X100's price nice... I hope it's manual focus lens (it only claims manual zoom, aren't most zooms manual?)...

I'm excited to see a hands on review. With its price, its very tempting.. :D

What i'd like to see is a uwa version of the x100 and a 50 or 90 mm equivalent. Then you can walk around with two or three cameras fro all your shooting needs!

how about interchangeable lenses?

What made the X100 special to me was the sensor size and then the rangefinder appeal.

Making it less than APS-C size makes it more of a novelty point and shoot that appeals to those who want the Leica look without the Leica price.

how about interchangeable lenses?

From what i've read, the sensor of the x100 has been tweeked and optimized to suit the specific lens, which was possible since it was fixed. I suppose there would be some compromise to the present design with an interchangeable lens system.

You'll love these fuji latest offering of fixed lens-classic styled compacts if you're the type of shooter who wants a camera that you can lug everyday without the bulkiness of a dslr. Among dslr prime lenses, you cannot find a 23mm equivalent as sleek as what fuji has paired with the X100, and maybe with the X50 too. Maybe leica and zeiss can, but that's the reason why there are lot of guys loving the X100, it beat them in terms of price, fair and square.

I hope the ISO performance is good. I've been looking for a new point and shoot.
