Jay Alonzo and Ross Capili back-to-back Workshop
On Fine Art Nude and Body Painting at the 1st OWG Art Camp Series on February 24 from 9am-9pm.
OWG presents its first Series of comprehensive art photography workshop by tapping Jay Alonzo who specializes in Glamour and Nude Studio Lighting, and Ross Capili, specializes in Fine Art Nude and Body Painting.
These creative tandem promises a meaningful workshop for participants.
The OWG Art Camp Series will be held every quarter with different topics and will be handled in pairs by topnotch art practitioners who are experts in their respective fields.
Participants must know the basics of camera operations, DSLR or SLR is required.
LIMITED to 10 participants only (Each participants will be given the chance to shoot their own composition, and will be assigned one computer each during the Photoshop post processing session)
Workshop Fee is Php 5,000 inclusive of light lunch and light dinner with over-flowing coffee, body painting materials, fees for 2 models, 2 pcs 8" x 10" archival prints on fine art textured paper, and a certificate of completion.
Flow of event:
8am - Registration
9am - 12nn - Slide lecture on Pre-visualization
- Art elements in female nudes photography
- Old master’s approach to nude (painting and photography)
- Pre-production and planning
- Seeing through your viewfinder (Visual reflexes and exercises)
- Understanding color (paints mixed with lights)
- Post process to acceptable fine art
- Lighting the nudes instructions (The female form- angles and composition)
- International Fine Print Edition Standards
- Fine art marketing and pricing your works
12nn-1pm - Lunch break
1pm -5pm - Actual Photo Shoot and Body Painting with models
- Group Collaboration
5pm- 6pm - Break
6pm - 7pm - Jay Alonzo and Ross Capili will give insights on individual works via slide projector
- Conversion of images to fine art (post processing workflow recommendations)
7pm - 9pm - Photoshop post processing on 10 computers (in between light dinner)
- Culmination

About Jay Alonzo:
Jay Alonzo specializes in Glamour and Nude Studio Lighting. He has taken photos for the talents’ portfolio of local modeling agencies, worked with movie production companies on their cinema posters and publicity photos, and done celebrity shoots for High Life magazine, and Mabuhay Magazine
About Ross Capili:
Ross Capili signs his work as Rosscapili. An artist painter using the camera’s viewfinder as an extension of his brush. He has accomplished around 30 solo exhibition (painting, photography, and digital art) in Manila, one in Paris France and in New York, and San Francisco where he received the Pamana Awards in Visual Art in 2001. He represented the country in Fukuoka Japan and in Taipei Taiwan in 1995. He specializes in Fine Art Nude and Body Painting and has done several commission fine art nudes for top celebrities, beauty queens, and private individuals.:)
