As the priest proclaim the couple as husband and wife, you should be ready to capture the first kiss. In some cases, there's a high probability of missing that because some couple are shy to do it that they just do a milisecond smack on the lips. But don't worry, it's not your problem and you'll have several chances within that day. It will become a big problem only if you didn't get at least one.

During the first kiss, you can capture a front shot, side shot or back shot. It could be more interesting if you can also do a top shot. Since it's quite common to see couple kissing in their wedding day, put an extra effort if you got a chance.

This is my killer kiss-shot. :)

i like this shot because the composition is unique. usually in weddings... it's always so formal... and when i fantasize when it comes to my wedding... i want something different than beach or sunset shots..

this is awesome! 10/10 for originality! :D

i like the composition of the shot! it is unique.. i'm not a pro but the pipes(?) and window(?) on the left side is a wee bit distracting..

but the shot is really amazing! :D

The background directly behind the bride and groom tends to disctract the kiss. Perhaps at a different angle, a more solid background would have given a better effect. Or some PP work might do the trick. my two cents....

Hi, John! The image that floats in my mind is more of spreading leaves for the coconut tree, a different chin angle for the bride and a less tense left hand of the groom (even his kiss is a bit tense). Oh and a little cropping of the lower part to reduce the massive black portion of the suit. But then again, thats just a wish list for the image (which was impromptu, I guess). :)

haha i wish that the trees were spread more as well! but unfortunately all the trees in westin looks like that already.. aftermath of the storm? haha. oh well, i was just playing around with the angles, but thanks for pointing out the things that i wasn't able to notice! thanks aly, very much appreciated :)

hi joel, that shot was taken at sofitel. but i'm not sure if they will ask for a permit; we shot there (by the US embassy) two weeks ago with no fuss :)

Haha just made me laugh a bit because my dad's the garden supply/landscape contractor for westin for the good part of the past 3 decades.

I still remember the look on his face after the series of storms that hit the westin this past year. All his plants indeed looked like that coconut tree.

Anyway sorry, off topic.

Great series of pictures. Only comment i have is that it kinda looks odd when I see the bride and/or groom kissing with their eyes open. I don't know, it just looks better to me when their eyes are closed. I guess its just me :)
