Posting here DPP Issue #09. The cover article is credited to our UK principals where we explore a whole new world in Macro. Local content for this month includes a new feature called On Assignment. Here we asked six DPP photographers to give us a report and experience on photographing Batanes. This is an article not to be missed. Our Readers Gallery was extended this issue to accomodate the excellent submissions for Philippine Fiestas. See if your photo made it. We also spoke with Philippine-based and award winning travel and landscape photographer, Gunther Deichmann whose profle you will find in this issue. Lastly, we wrap it up with 20 Tips on photographing motion.

Moving forward, we will not correlate a date with our Issues. In fact we never have from the start. Submission of photos from readers, ads from sponsors, and queuing at the printer determines when the magazine is released. Hopefully this can happen within a 30-day time frame but as we've seen last month, it doesn't normally. So for Issue #09 we're going to release before the 30-day period. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Feb 22/23 release.

Just got Issue 8 yesterday for DPP is still not available on all Cebu NBS branches. Delayed shipment as they say. But I found some at BookBugs branches here in Cebu.

Well we've been privileged to see all the Batanes picks when writing the article. The problem we had was how to limit the photos to fit the allocated pages. The photos were rock solid that we could have made this article run 15 pages long!

Can't wait to see the thread started.

photo quality on the d2xs and the Mk series starts to look like P&S when you see pics upclose from the hassie. sharp, yes. but the depth... that's where mp count starts to really matter. i can understand why somebody would buy it even at that price level. and then there's arnel ;)

DPP magazines in National bookstores are quick to disappear thats why I subscribed. My subscription copy comes earlier than when its released in the bookstores (well at least my copy!) and a big discount to boot. Thanks to Nino for facilitating my subscription! :)

considering it's still in good condition, that is. see i collect DPP, but somebody borrowed my issue #9 and never returned it... now i have one missing and that just makes me sad. :(
