Can I be brutally honest? That camera looks ugly! Also, no hotshoe?? That's one major downside to this newest incarnation of the GF series!

... but with built-in flash and *fastest light AF w/ 14-140! Exciting times :D

I wonder how this will look like with the 14-140mm attached to it? If the camera is this small, I'm sure it will be very unwieldy with the 14-140mm...

Looks like Panasonic is gearing this to be the one that will attract and introduce P&S owners to the world of Micro-43. :)

Hi guys,

I bought my black Lumix GF3 about a week ago in exchange of my Nikon D3000. I sold my Nikon to get a slimmer touch, I usually use my cam on road trip with my motorcycle, and a DSLR is non-convenient and too bulky.

First Impressions... ummm, yeah right its structure is a lil' bit weird and kinda hard to cup up with your hands since it's like designed for girls. It becomes weirder when you attach the 14-44mm lens (it comes with the dual lens package), just imagine an SLR kit lens on a small digicam.. ^_^

But still, it has its benefits.. I can walk around with it without breaking my neck. You can take photos anywhere without attracting too many eyes.. it makes you less-tourist like compared to an SLR.. :)

I also love the new feature "touch focus" where you just simply touch the screen and it automatically focuses the way you like it.. good for catching some "Boke Effect"..

In just few days of playing with it, I can say it's a fun camera and I love it.. :)

I'll be posting some sample pictures soon.. Have a nice day!

Bro Daniel, I'm just using the 14mm f2.5 kit lens. I was looking for a 20mm f1.7 but had no luck finding sellers. And if ever I found any, they were very much overpriced. :(

Lucky you for having that 20mm, it seems like a very rare lens to buy nowadays. :D

And thanks also for liking, I'm just a newbie here. :)

@joshuaemmanuel.reyes awesome shots you got there, i've been torn between this and the e-pm1, just wanted to know how the camera feels so far, any complaints? isn't it too small?

i'm planning to get a micro 4/3 camera and the price of the gf3 + your sample shots makes it really irresistible, were all those shots taken using the included lens?

No complaints until now, I have them for more than 4 months now. It's basically a poor man's m4/3. Too small? I guess it is its major selling point, plus, brand new are very cheap nowadays at ~18k.

Yes, I am using the included lens, 14mm f2.5.

Great shots joshua.
I've been eyeing the 14mm too.
I think GF3 is a great camera considering it's size.
It's now become cheaper because the GF5 is already out.

For someone with a very tight budget (such as me), this fits the bill quite fine.

I just ordered a GF3 from Bestbuy, still waiting for the delivery. Excited to get my hands on my first expensive (or not) camera. :) Im a late bloomer in photography, a novice, (thanks to PhilMUG.ph, they helped me sparked my interest for the art) so spare me for that. I hope this site can guide me to take excellent-looking photos like the ones posted here. :)
