I recall that this lens is the second best macro for Canon bodies, 1st being the Canon 100mm f2.8. This review will help you decide if the almost double price is worth it for your shooting needs.

Go with Ditoy's suggestion; then add the EF25 & the compatible MT24 EX twin head flash, won't go wrong with macro photography.

I have this lens but haven't used extensively. I posted a shot in the Aug 2006 gallery titled "Two-in-One" I don't have the twin head flash yet as I shifted from macro to wildlife. Overall, this lens produces good and stunning results.

extending while focusing to 1:1 factor almost half the length...not good. but price wise its ok...go for Canon EF 100mm F/2.8 USM.
