For me I still prefer the retro-look and controls accessibility of the GF1 :D
Victor Nacion 11-05-2010, 08:31 AM More like a good upgrade than a new model, really. I particularly don't like the touchscreen LCD, might be prone to fingerprints, smudges, etc. So I'll stick to my GF1 for the time being...:)
nicolelopez 11-05-2010, 10:46 AM I saw this and got all excited! I've been meaning to buy the GF-1, but now that GF-2 is out. Hahahaha....though GF1 does look aesthetically much better. So hopefully when GF-2 is out, it would bring down the GF-1's price tag. :D
I'm wondering how come they didn't release it just in time for the holiday season. Seems like a huge waste to me, might be a lot of would be buyers during that season, just thinking out loud. :D
Carlo Angeles 11-06-2010, 09:18 AM A smaller built looks promising..but I think might just take advantage of the GF1 price drop :D
Victor Nacion 11-07-2010, 07:38 AM But the GF2 is paired with a 14mm f/2.5 pancake... That one, I like! :D
rudyjuanito 11-20-2010, 09:01 AM GF2 with 14-42mm lens for £599.99 ($968 or 706 Euro)
GF2 with 14 lens for £629.99 ($1016 or 742 Euro)
GF2 with 14mm and 14-42mm lens for £729.99 ($1178 or 860 Euro)kinda expensive http://www.photozz.com/fizz/11032083.aspx
Michael Lu 12-20-2010, 10:53 AM Is this already available here?
RickySandoval 01-17-2011, 02:40 PM Does anyone already have firsthand experience with this camera? Would love to have a hands-on review, reactions, comments and sample pics! :)
nicolelopez 01-20-2011, 07:51 PM When will this be release in Manila?
RickySandoval 01-20-2011, 11:01 PM Kimstore is already selling this on her website. :)

Test shot using the prime 20mm 1.7 lens
in low light conditions no flash
I was eyeing for the LX5 or GF1 but this camera's performance is phenomenal, it can handle low light conditions efficiently plus the Ultra HD function, the downside majority of the controls are buried in the touch screen, I hope this is a durable cam and the touch screen wont give me problems
This will be my official trekking and street photography cam

Hi there! where did you buy your gf2? does it come with the 20mm f1.7 lens? TIA!
victor_vesuna 03-29-2011, 08:55 PM Hi there! where did you buy your gf2? does it come with the 20mm f1.7 lens? TIA!
From Mr. Philip Tang of Watson's Hidalgo
it comes with a 14mm pancake
some people has criticized the gf2 for being more on the prosumer side but I find the upgrade acceptable and the performance excellent, the touch screen feature is a big plus, the only grudge that i have for this camera is the exclusion of the dial knob which diminished its retro look.

Allan Domingo 12-29-2011, 11:00 PM newbie question here. pardon the ignorance. I am currently a point a shoot guy with a SONY TX5 and a CANON SX200. i am planning to buy either a canon 600D or a panasonic GF2 and enroll in photography lessons. My questions are :
1. Is the micro four thirds really almost as good as the DSLR?
2. Is there a wide selection of lenses now locally for the micro 4/3s? Are the prices of the micro 4/3s lenses lower priced than DSLRs?
3. If I buy a CANON 600D , will i be able to use my canon lens with the panasonic micro 4/3 using an adaptor.
4. Should i just buy a primary DSLR and then maybe buy a micro 4/3 later on as a secondary camera
TIA

1. in the right conditions, yes.
2. no. DSLR still is king when it comes to lenses. ranging from 3k-100k a piece.
3.yes. but im guessing it very hard to find.
4. only you can answer that. what are your needs? priority (portability, quality, etc..) but for me a DSLR beats a micro 4/3 any day, thats just me:)
