Not the best of news because I am now being quoted a July 8 delivery to our office. Trying to push the printers to get the magazine to us earlier. Hopefully they can in the next day or two. Subscribers will get their magazines the day after we receive the delivery If it remains a July 8 delivery to us then expect

July 9- dispatch to subscribers

National, Fully Booked, Bufini
July 11- Makati outlets
July 12- Alabang area
July 13- Ortigas, Greenhills, Cubao

Powerbooks will start around July 15.

i think there are still copies left with jo. around 3-5.

DPP Issue 01 sold very well at the newsstands and most sold out their supply. There should be a few left scattered around town but not much. We still have some inventory in our office but are not going to re-stock the newsstands anymore since Issue 02 is coming very soon.

Hi Aly. Nick posted an update regarding the 2nd issue at the first page of this thread :)

Issue 02 was delivered to our office late last night. We send out subscriptions tomorrow. Newsstand deliveries will happen during the week. Please make sure to check out the Reader's Gallery. You will find photos from many of the familiar names you find on this forum.

Just got mine as well! Leafed through it briefly. Kudos to all the ones who's pictures were featured. Definitely more local content. I can't wait to finish the articles by Anton, Gutsy and the one on Richard Larrios. Looking good guys!

Sorry to nitpick, but I noticed some of the dropped-out shots had mis-aligned or jagged clipping paths.
For the articles of Gutsy, Anton, and even Richard, it would have been nice to have a sidebar listing what's in their gear bag. It'll give us an idea of what they use for the type of shooting that was featured.
I liked the article on stock photo sites. We definitely have come a long way from browsing through CDs and books by Image Bank.

Can I ask how your distribution system is? I looked for the magazine in the national bookstore (cubao, near gateway) branch and didn't find the magazine but found it in fully booked gateway. Don't you deliver by geography?

Good question Aly. We distribute through high profile doors. NBS provides us a list of outlets and advises the best locations to distribute the magazine. Since the magazine retails for P 295, which is at the top tier of local mags, the NBS Cubao was not selected sadly for customer demographic. That's why you find the magazine in locations such as NBS Podium, Glorietta, Greenbelt, etc. Now if the sales people in a particular store without the magazine report requests from customers, there would be good chance that we will be informed to add that store.

As for Fully Booked, we're in all their stores except Mall of Asia for now.

Nick gave me 2 copies last tuesday and i was really impressed with the quality of the printing. Comparing it with digital camera mag, DPP's color accuracy and fidelity is much better. Great job Nick!!

Just got the 2nd issue at NBS glorietta. Congratulations to everyone whose photos were featured in the reader's gallery. The increase in the local content is very nice, hope next time the cover could show some local pics to set it apart from the other mags. Keep it up guys :)

Unfortunately not this month. Most likely next because that is when we start provincial distribution with NBS. We can send you the magazine in the meantime for the cost plus courier freight until we service Cebu through NBS. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This was the case with Glorietta and Greenbelt for around three days when we had to intervene. You unfortunately visited when they were inside the storage room.

My july issue arrived in the mail today. :) I'd just like to echo what many have already said, the quality is FIRST RATE, both in presentation and content! Good Job, DPP!

Nick, I also had the same experience when I bought the 1st issue at the NBS Greenbelt. If I haven't asked the attendand about it, they would've not produced it from the cabinets.

I am now a proud owner of the First and 2nd issue of DPP. The July issue was really a great copy. It's more Filipino since contributors and other features are local.

Quality is great. The reviews are useful and informative. The articles are practical and educational.

I bought my copy from NBS greenbelt last July 12. I didn't find it along the other photo magazine stocks though. It was placed along the home care mags and other fashion mags down below the photo mags pile. :)

Congrats to the editorial team... the July issue rocks! I've to say the print and content quality is right up there with the UK and US photo mags. Keep up the good work.

Excellent 2nd issue!!! Had a great reading the whole magazine. I would like to thank you guys for bringing in such a wonderful magazine to the Philippines and hope that you continue giving us information and updates to all things in the digital photography world. I cant wait for the nexrt issue.
