thanks sir dave...btw the photo is kind out of focus...but i just can imagine how the boy laughs his heart out....

Shot using full auto...using flickr is more enjoyable and easier not to mention it retains most of the colors compared to using photobucket.

I think it's better if we could share some experiences using our Nikon D90's and some tips/techniques also... :)
What I love about this camera is the position of buttons and controls, enables me to shoot with ease. The af-motor is a big plus because I use lenses from film slr's.

+1 on this sir. the AF-motor made me upgrade from a d5k before. super needed so i can use different kinds of lenses with or without motor in it :)

Upload photos to flickr. Then click on the photo. Then you'll see two tabs at the top of your photo which says ACTION and SHARE THIS. Click on SHARE THIS. A new box will appear. Click on GRAB THE HTML/ BBC CODE. Then select MEDIUM 640. After that copy and paste the code to this forum. Viola!

i'm not impressed with the in-camera sensor cleaning.. especially when it comes to bigger dust specs. what i do is, i clean it with sensor swabs + e2 (the fluid).. i've done it several times. it's a thrilling experience.. hehe! it's breath taking. it's like doing a surgery.. i experienced the mirror and shutter curtain closing (several times also) while cleaning.. i'm just lucky my camera still works. haha!

you can bring your camera to hidalgo for cleaning or you can do it yourself. i bought my cleaning kit for 1k at avenue, it's along hidalgo street..

Kama-macro.. Hehe... Are you sure it's not on the lens?
Oh well.. Maybe It's because of shooting macro, more prone to dust. Same experience here. I used to shoot without reverse lens adapter. Haha!
It's better to bring it for cleaning.. I think it's not that visible shooting with the lens attached normally (not reversed), just use bigger aperture.

No bro. Tried it on normal lens mode 18-55mm and 18-105mm and its still visible when I took a shot of our white wall.

I've read it somewhere here, it's 1k+ in hidalgo.. I decided to buy my own cleaning kit so whenever there's dust, it's easier for me to clean the sensor.

But maybe it depends on the status of the sensor, the price and the duration of the service.. I'm not sure. :)

Guys, let me remind you that almost all of us are newbies in photography. I myself is just months in using my D90 and has been using D40 for almost 2 years. No one has the monopoly of knowledge that's why we're having this photo walks to share best practices. I'm not yet good at shooting the sun, but one thing I know. I enjoy taking photographs. We'll have a short meeting after the shoot for the next photo walk on April 2. So, see ya!

Welcome to Team Nikon D90!

I like the shot. It's just that you might have used 18mm kaya nag slant/ lean yung right light post to the left. I think it's always safe to use 35mm always...well, unless you really have no choice.

But overall, I like it. Ika nga e, "beauty is in the eyes of the 'photographer'". Wahahahahahahahaha! Joke.

Please provide more constructive criticism.

Hi Dave,

I learned this @ Jake Radaza workshop…you need to process the photo using a photoshop to achieve the color and light effects…with regards to sharpness you may follow this “Librodo sharpening technique”… :)

1. Open the file in Photoshop
2. Press Control-J to copy your image into a new layer. Go to the "Filter" menu and select "Sharpen." From there select "Unsharp Mask" and enter 18 for Amount, 40 for Radius and 0 for Threshold.
3. Go back into the "Filter" menu. Again, go to "Sharpen" and click on "Unsharp Mask." Enter 150 for Amount, 0.3 for Radius and 0 for Threshold. Go into the "Edit" menu and select "Fade Unsharp Mask" . Enter an opacity of 100 percent and select "Darken," then press "OK."
4. Go back into the "Filter" menu. Again, go to "Sharpen" and click on "Unsharp Mask." Enter 150 for Amount, 0.3 for Radius and 0 for Threshold. Go into the "Edit" menu and select "Fade Unsharp Mask" . Enter an opacity of 100 percent and select "Lighten," then press "OK."
5. Finale: Click the “layer” menu and select “Merge Visible”. Save the image


Also, you may consider reducing the size of your photo before applying this technique. :)
