You guys should check out BW Styler, it's downloadable for a fee at www.thepluginsite.com Everything you could want in a BW converter. It can mimic the grain structure of many different and exotic BW films including infrared. Then it's got BW filters, ND filters, ND grad filters, push or pull processing, different grades of paper. It's really awesome. I'll admit though that after all of tht, I still go to Channel Mixer in Photoshop and check the monochrome box, you can tweak the sliders there too. Finally, to avoid any unwanted colorcasts. I print the images on my Epson R1800 on Archival Matte Paper. That is definitely the closest i've come to a silver halide print. Check the plug in out, it's pretty awesome.

It's pretty neat, With presets labeled according to the real-world films you want to emulate. It's a 30-day full version trial, but those with the money to spare might be interested. :)

It would be nice to hear the film shooters' opinions on this plugin. I'm curious to know how close they are compared to the real thing. :)
