ewan ko ba, i always wanted to play with photos
even before, days back that i don't know anything about photography
i always stare at photos that moved me or play ideas inside my mind and create visual concept in my mind. till i discovered digital imaging, scanning several photos and combining them into one just like what i have in mind.

here is one of my early works when i'm not yet into photography

after scanning magazines, books, wood textures, sand etc...
naisip ko why not take photos my self, problem is, i don't have a camera yet
here's a work in which i use my scanner to capture my hand, then played with it with PS effects.

I like the tied guy with the toilet. Looking at him holding the rope tells me that sometimes we do tie ourselves and then tries to break free when it is too tight, only to find ourselves immersed to the chaos we created ourselves.... and then we go to waste as we flush everything to the toilet.

I wonder where did I put my rally gears. :D

Before, concepts like this in an ad agency usually produced by 6 high key people....creative director, copywriter, art director, visualizer, photographer, and final artist. Now it can be done by just one person, lalu na kung may talent pa for creative writing and photography plus graphic design skill....i learned from a friend at Saatchi that they replaced their old creative people with computer techie blood =) for me, i probably merged the old and new blood because "foundation" is important in artmaking, and not only computer know how, any comment on this? =)

yes sir, i do my own copy po.
mostly i am just playing sir, run thru my stock photos of almost anything from nudes, glamour, everyday things, trash, textures... then come up wih what's playing in my mind. or sometimes i try to shoot something for a particular idea that i want to play.
no rules though... madalas ang walang particular na workflow. just play... photoplay! :)

"ang galing"! borj=) anyway...i will post also some of my "photoplay" too, if that's the term=) other members may do so, "katuwaan lang", but at the same time we can post questions, appreciation, or maybe constructive comments....may i suggest a subject of interest? hmm maybe "chair"? shoot and interpret a "chair"....play with graphic words too in the visual photos, e.g. "To Sit, or Not to Sit"...

We need those old advisers, those purists, "yung tawag nila saradong film". I have high respect with Filipino Masters like Neal Oshima, Ed Santiago, Romy Vitug...i was listening to a story of an old photographer friend about how he achieved that soft look effects in his photograph before...by sanding (with sand paper) literally! his lenses:D ...interesting diba?:Grin: ....now it's easy na, just buy soft lense filters in hidalgo , pero bilib pa rin ako sa kanila:)
