Hello DPP!

im wondering if there are photographers here in DPP that have studied (or even worked) in Lasalle

yup! whether you're from the Taft main campus, Benilde, Greenhills, Dasma, or any other Lasalle schools all over the Philippines!

i think it's better to gather us all, of course as we celebrate the 100 years of Lasallian presence here in the Philippines! haha :D i think is also a good idea to document the activities and gather pictures that will be happening all over this year in the different Lasalle campuses :D

i'm wondering why there isn't any team in DLSU like the A.S.S. (ateneo sports shooters) there should be one!

oh by the way, COSCA, the socio civic arm of lasalle-taft, we'll be having an activity on the 16th.. it is called For the Kids(FTK), it's a mini olympics for special kids.. maybe some of you might be interested to shoot

here's a description of what FTK is about

The Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA), the social arm of De La Salle University, is once again gearing up for the annual mini-Olympics for kids with special conditions, For the Kids(FTK). From the time it started in 1986 until now, the event has already benefited more than 6,000 special children. With the aim of providing a fun and friendly competition and interaction among and between children with special needs and the Lasallian Volunteers, FTK has grown to be the biggest socio-civic event which involves all sectors of the DLSU community and engages the participation of the other Lasallian Schools. Similar to previous years, the special conditions includes: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Mentally Retarded (MR), Autism (AU), Low Vision/Blind (LV), Deaf, Cerebral Palsy (CP), and Down Syndrome (DS).

With the theme “Tara na’t maki-isa sa pagbibigay ng ligaya sa mga batang puno ng pagasa ” FTK is scheduled on the 16th day of January 2011, Sunday. An estimated 650 kids with special conditions, around 1,000 volunteer Ate/Kuya from DLSU and other Lasalle Schools, and as many as 400 teachers/coaches and parents of special children are expected to be part of this yearly endeavor.

i think so far for lasalle taft- here's the upcoming activities for feb:

DLSUnite (University Week) - Feb 14-19..
DLSU Family Day - Feb 26..

i think around mid this year, there will be a lot of activities in celebration of our centennial.. hope we can all meet each other by then..

or maybe some of you might want to organize a photowalk or any shoots, hahaha :D

I think the LSGH Homecoming is this weekend. Then next weekend is the DSLU Homecoming. Both events will be held at the LSGH field because DLSU has no more field. :(

Dasma's school ground is filled with a lot of subjects ;) I've been there for quite a few times and it never fails to tire me out haha!

Simon Atkins shooting the 3 that put FEU away with just over a minute left in the game. This was also the game where he was inadvertantly elbowed by FEU star player, RR Garcia. Play had to be stopped because Atkins wobbled and fell to the floor. He was helped out when Coach Dindo called a timeout.

Notes:

I lost a lot of calories just to able to take this photo. Since the ideal location to take photos of the fireworks display (at the Amphitheater) was already crowded, I decided to go to Velasco Hall (Engineering Building!), where I found that I was the only photographer there. However, after setting up my tripod, I realized that I left my camera at the Green & White Office, at the SPS Building, whose rooftop is where the fireworks are about to be launched! So I went back there with only a few minutes left. The good thing was, I was able to make it on time. The bad thing was I was singing the Alma Mater Song alone. Hehe..

The construction on the foreground by the way is the future Henry Sy Hall, which occupied the former football field.. Boo..
