before you begin posting, you have to have a place to host your images.
sites like flickr.com or imageshack and the like can host them for you.
if you have your own website you can link from there as well usually, not unless your host doesn't give you that right.

the next step would be, knowing where your file is hosted and knowing the url (or website link) of the file (i.e. http://www.mysite.com/mypic.jpg )

then if you know that, you can just click on the button that looks like a mountain and has a sun on the top right or use the img tag ( http://www.mysite.com/mypic.jpg )

that's about it. just make sure that the picture is web friendly, meaning less than 800x600 resolution or less.

hope that helps! :D

i noticed you posted it like this
http://moppetr.multiply.com/photos/photo/31/1?

that's basically just the link to the site but not the photo.
if you right click on the image itself and choose properties you will
see the link to the file itself, or you can right click and choose copy image location.

although, when i clicked on the properties of it, it shows some other variables after the file.jpg. when i tried to remove the garbage and just use the jpg image itself, i'm not able to view it. i guess multiply won't allow linking. can someone please confirm?

How do U attach a picture file to a new thread? I want to attache a jpeg file to a new thread so I can ask for comments and critiques to shots I taken from my DSLR. I tried last nite...but the browser always prompt me...that my files is "TOO LARGE".Eventhough I had resize my file, its always over the required quota of the forum. Thanks in advance. Have a nice day :)

What area of the forum did you make your new thread? If it's the gallery, it needs to be 100Kb or less in size. If it's in the forum area, just upload your photos to photobucket, flickr, etc etc... then use the insert image button, put the URL of your images & attach to your message. Easy diba. :D

here's a helpful link.. yep experienced that too. it's better if you get a third party site like photobucket to upload the pics here..
