Here's a different take to DPP. We combined different artistic methods of photography to develop our Creative issue. The cover belongs to Jay Tablante who did a special shoot of Alodia Gosiengfiao for us. Inside the magazine, you will see what it takes to put together such a shoot from planning, to costume, to makeup, to lighting, post processing, etc. Its all there and Jay's inputs took up 18-pages from us! We have more too. Our call for Creative Blur lead to one of the strongest Readers Gallery submission from our readers. Its all in here, panning, lensbaby, you name it.

Magazine (cross my fingers) will start hitting major stands by this weekend, Dec 11. Full distribution by Wed, Dec 15. Support DPP and pick your copy of the Creative issue. If you've are the photography doldrums right now, this issue is surely lift you out.

Looks like another must-buy issue. Tablante, Gosiengfiao, and I would guess, the unheralded, but essential Production Designer Tesoro should be a fantastic combination.

Good to see you back here Din. Back issues we can't do much for you. There are a few copies in the office but not the complete set. May I suggest visiting Filbars? They are one of our largest distributors so may still have back issues with them. Shall we hit you up with a new subscription?

this is also my prob. i have no subscriptions (only got into photography last may 2010) so i'm missing several issues. the first one i have is only starting from the one that contained tickets for the anniv event in fully booked :(

amazing issue :D plus we have some of the old lessons from the old issues making a return! (pinhole photography and HDR, with updated pictures) and new ones like Perspective control (Tilt-Shift) and LENSBABIES!

There's a shadow on the eye (more prominent on the right eye) from the eyelashes that looks like a vein or nerve from first glance. My question, is it ok to remove it during postprocessing? It bothers me. Was it intentionally left out to complement the other shadows (like on the neck) because of the light overhead?

just got a copy this afternoon. as usual there's really a lot too learn from this magazine. kudos to sir jay tablante, love the psylocke shot. was kinda small though. ^^

It's a shadow cast by the blonde wig. At the end of the day though, you have to ask yourself how anal you'd like to become over a shoot... there are times when you pay too much attention to the details that the overall look of the shot is lost, and vice-versa. Then decide from those factors. There is no surefire linear way of doing things in this genre.

hi... up until now i havent received my copy of this issue. anything wrong? I've already post a message in the contact us section and no reply. normally, if you are a subscriber, you get the magazine before it hit the stands. In this case, it is mpore than a month already (same thing happened in the previous subscription). Any help here is appreciated.
