hi caloy!
i don't own either of these cams but considered them both when i lusted for an unnecessary upgrade (i didn't give in to the temptation. hehe)
the S200's main selling point is the EXR technology in a superzoom body which promises improved dynamic range and better noise handling. however, this is done by dropping the resolution to 6MP. this may be a turn off if MP count is that important to you. the lens of the S200 extends from 30.5 to 436. the not so wide end is a turn off for me but if you can live with it, there are lots of great shots taken with the S200 for you to check out before you make the purchase.
the HS10's main selling point is the very wide zoom range, from 24 to 720mm. what i like about this cam is the absence of purple fringing which is so obvious in canon's superzooms. the fast burst speed and HD videos are also some of this cams good points but they say that the focus motor's quite noisy and can be heard when shooting video. a quick google search on the HS10 would show you lots of reasons not to buy this cam but looking at sample pictures by capable owners would convince you otherwise. i've been hanging out at dpreview.com's fuji talk forum looking at shared HS10 images and straight out of the cam shots are pretty good. even shots at relatively high ISO are acceptable for me (but i'm not a pixel-peeper). but some also admit that you have to fight with the camera so it'll do what you want it to do. one interesting point i've read from a fuji owner is that he describes fuji owners as masochists coz they have to put in much effort to get the camera to do what they want but in the end, all that effort is rewarded with good image quality that cannot be rivalled by their peers in the compact cam category. maybe that's true but i can't confirm it myself as i'm not a fuji user.
to summarize, both cams can take good photos if you are willing to throw a little more effort and patience. the IQ of the S200 may be better but the HS10 has better zoom range. again these are not from my experience. i was actually hesitant in posting this but i saw that nobody's giving any input in your thread so i might as well throw in what i've read. :)

Thanks so much for your advice. As of now, I'm inclined to get the HS10. Hopefully I'll make the right choice! Thanks again!

If you are open to other brands, here's a review and how the HS10 stacks up against them.

Ill suggest to get the S200exr

It has better image quality that HS10. Since s200exr has a larger sensor than HS10..

You will just sacrifice the features of HS10 for the image quality of S200exr

For me image quality matters more than features.
