View Full Version : SD/MMC to CF adapter
jp_moral 01-16-2007, 10:53 PM Hi! Does anyone know where I can buy an SD/MMC to CF adapter? Something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Compact-Flash-Secure-Digital-Adapter/dp/B000165CBA
I have an old printer that doesn't have an SD/MMC card slot. I tried plugging in a card reader into the printer then inserting the MMC into the reader. Didn't work. It would be great if an adapter is available locally.

paulinodiongzon 01-17-2007, 05:38 PM i have been looking for one of these, does anyone know where to purchase one, locally?
raymondgayondato 01-17-2007, 06:34 PM i have been looking for one of these! i have the creative zen vision w, unfortunately, it only allows you to backup cf cards.. theres no slot for SD/MMC.

is it true?

how much exactly did you pay for (landed cost) in philippine pesos?
jp_moral 01-18-2007, 12:12 AM @neil: Was that a direct delivery to your home?
The number for Infomax is 8150571 just in case anyone wants to call and I forget to. If anyone does call please post here if they have it available. :)
Tammy_David 01-18-2007, 12:38 AM Is it the same as the SD-CF Type II Adapter? I turned KL upside down for that one. No luck
jp_moral 01-18-2007, 04:32 PM @Tammy: Yes I think that's it.
I called Infomax and they said it's 5k, 4.5k for cash buyers. If anyone interested is going to Hidalgo might they check please? :) My next trip there at least two weeks from now.

yes it was delivered at home...thats the total amount i paid including shipping.
raymondgayondato 01-18-2007, 04:45 PM 4.5k? woah.. expensive... very expensive.. :(

i believe shipping to manila is not an option from the site/link you provided.. :(
jp_moral 01-18-2007, 10:30 PM I tried registering with the Mittoni site but unfortunately you have to choose a "State" from the drop down menu and Paranaque is not included. Manila and QC (among others) are included though. Wouldn't want to risk it getting lost in the mail...
raymondgayondato 01-19-2007, 02:24 AM i was able to register, but still manila/qc is still not available for their delivery destinations.

jp_moral 02-06-2007, 04:47 PM I saw one today in one of the Hidalgo shops being sold for 2k. Problem is it can't be used with a digital camera since it is too big. I guess the 4.5k model will fit in a camera, haven't seen it yet.

Hi guys....wow!!! 4.5 to 5 K thats too expensive...with that amount I can buy myself another 1 or 2 SD or CF cards. ( just an opinion)
Aris Guerrero 02-07-2007, 03:29 PM this article says Brando makes one:
