Hi Jay, im an avid Oly user I have 5 Oly cameras with me , but they do not take care of their customers once you buy your cameras or housings with them its up to you to buy the spare o rings and accessories "bahala ka na sa buhay mo" as amatter of fact I still have a pending order with them from last year pa.
Yes the product is nice but without the support its nothing. Now Im starting to switch to Canon its nice everything is available everywhere no need to go abroad.
If you know the people from Axis tell them to give an after sales support. Thanks

Unfortunately, the things you brought up isn't far from the truth. It's good thing you mentioned this again so I can reiterate to the vendor (showing this thread) the reasons why they need to improve their service, and one of the reasons why this club is being formed.

Unfortunately too that Alex Bonilla has inherited these problems compounded by other day to day problems plaguing a company. But these shouldn't be a justification to be lackadaisical in their after sales support. I guaranteee you that the Oly team want to improve their services, hence this move. Hence, my participation in this endeavor; to assist fellow Oly users like myself. I've mentioned this problem to them before and we are still planning the moves to address this problem for admittedly, we have only just began this kind of change/improvement.

Btw, I'm not an employee of theirs ok? :) Just speaking out for them, and speaking out to them in behalf of other Oly users. I am hoping we wil have a stronger voice if we formalize it as a club. Of course, it's more than just sales support that I hope this club can offer, such as photo trips and workshops and other product concerns that might come up inherent to our gear.

If you will supply me the details of your order (that is if you haven't cancelled it or plan on cancelling it yet), I'll follow it up to them.

The club will also need people like you, not afraid and vocal to air out their concern and complaint for mutual benefit. It would be better even if you join and tell it to them yourself that their sales service sucks :) and that you have several other people backing your complaint. that will definitely be an eye opener for them...i hope :)

thanks too for opening up. This is indeed a well known problem with Axis Global. the Oly team wants to address this really thou the management policy...well errr...that's a different story. and that's what I'm hoping we could all change. will let you know more...thanks!

Sir Jay, I hope Axis can make things work here and I think we can no longer be tagged as "The Few and the Brave"... hahaha....Sir Bert says it all, the biggest problem is the availability of stocks and reliable services. Hi Jay, just want to say how I feel sorry but thats who I am. I love to use Oly cameras love the colors especially when I use it for underwatershots. I am still using my c-950, c-5050 2 pcs, c-7070, c-8080 and an E-330, i think this is enough to say how I love Olympus, but from all this cameras with their respective housings never have I purchased any spare O rings for them, I have to go to Hong Kong to buy it or Singapore or ask a friend to bring it home for me. This is happening not only with Axis but also with Columbia before. I teach scubadiving and when my students see what gear I am using they tend to buy what I am using but since this things is happening its hard to recommend Oly, cause I did it before and my students keeps on pestering me where to buy the accessories they want for their cameras. i just bought a cannon and it works well housings are available in the malls and same with the lenses of the slrs. But I still love my Oly's . Good luck with the club.:)
