... and found the magazine generally helpful (putting a picture of a surfer in the cover probably isn't the best way to start a Philippine magazine... but what do I know :D). I found the photo tips quite useful as well as the sampling of gear that is available out there.

But, I do have a small suggestion... could you somehow change your cover page. It is a bit on the stiff side making it quite cumbursome to flip through. A thinner cover page might even lower the price more

hehe Kirby the stiffer version makes it indestructible.

Seriously, I find the stiff cover page much more appealing. BTW, I don't roll or fold it.

at first glance I liked the cover but when I started reading it... I can't lay it flat on the table and follow their step by step guides without weighing down the edges... I know its a trivial matter but it sure would be convenient :)

I think quality of paper is perfect since we will be coming back and fourth, to browse through the pages every now and then for tips or notes:) For me, it won't be a magazine that I will give to a friend or throw to the magazine rack by the bathroom thrown:Scared: after reading what I need:D

i looove the matt laminated cover! it's a first for a local magazine and i think it's better than a glossy cover.

How can OFW obtain the magazine? I'm sure lots of us would be interested in getting a copy.

If you change your handle to your true name perhaps, Admin may just send you a copy:)

no offense to the_rock, but caloy's comment made me laugh...

@the_rock, just to let you know, you're supposed to use your name as your handle/id.

Caloy,

Thanks for your minor moderation. You won't believe how many people skip reading rules even when our real user name stares right at them when they register.

Thanks to everyone else for the nice comments. We are sticking with our laminated cover because that is the look we like. No other magazine does it here. I wouldn't doubt it if they copy us soon though. As for the paper, we will stick with what we chose. It is more expensive than what other mags are using, but we use it for picture quality. The images have more "pop" with this paper and that is very important to us.

For Dex, I'll send you a PM about Davao issues. The mag will soon be coming there.

okay, got your point :)

not to nit pick but I think you need more proofreaders (?) the screen shot of what I think is supposed to be Raw shooter premium is the Adobe Camera Raw plug in :) no wonder it looked familiar :D

And just in case you missed it... the top 5 IS lens don't have their respective names on it.

Definitely birth pains. Kirby is correct. There were some slip ups in Issue #1. Issue 2 should be much better, and I'm sure we may miss a comma or two. We won't miss putting the names of the top lenses again.

Which Fully Booked was this? Tried looking for the magazine in Fully Booked Greenhills and in Bibliarch Glorietta (same owners as Fully Booked) but had no luck... :(

The magazine has basically sold out in all the newsstands that were delivered. Fully Booked in Greenhills Promenade might have some though because we did a re-deliver around a week ago. We are no longer making deliveries of Issue 01 because Issue 02 will be released in a few days.

got the first issue...congratulations...magazine was great...i just have one question...

on page 82, no. 33 fonts, in was stated that you need to restart your Photoshop CS2 when you install a new font, but i have been using my Photoshop CS for quite some time now and this is not the case, even when i install a new font, it automatically adds to the font drop-down menu. (unless it is different in Photoshop CS Mac version or Photoshop CS2 because I am using Photoshop CS Windows version)
