Hi to all,

I am a newbie to photography and want to start on a lumix GF1. If I can only buy one lens, what shall I get as a kit lens? Many blogs and reviews seem to have great things to say on the 20mm lens. but that may be because they are long time or even professional photographers already which means they have other cameras already with zoom lens.

Would appreciate your advise on what lens to get and why.... The reason I chose the GF1 is because it is not bulky and seems to take good pics based on many reviews.

Thanks,

:)

Itos

Kit lens? That's the 14-45. If you can only get one? Get the 20mm, it's money well spent.

+1 for the 20mm. I like prime and fast lens.

How about the image quality? Is the difference night and day?

i've had both. recently sold my 14-45 since i rarely use it. each has their pros and cons
20/1.7 - good for low light, great bokeh, but not too wide at 40mm (35mm equiv), noisy AF
14-45 - hunts indoor, silent focusing, wide at 28mm (35mm equiv)

both lenses have great IQs

I am just waiting for the 14/2.5 to be available :D

I don't know if this is the right forum but I just want to know where to buy G lenses like the 14-180mm and the G2 body
