Ok. No worries!

Here's the exif data you requested Caloy.

ISO: 200
Aperture: f/13
Exposure: Bulb
Focal length: 18 mm.

Essentials for this type of shots are: Tripod and remote switch (gives you more freedom than using timer).

Great shots....btw how long did you keep the shutter pressed?? how do you know how long to keep it on?? Sorry for the basic questions im a begginner :)

Thanks

No worries Miguel! We are here to learn.

In those photos, the shutter was open for 9 sec, max 13 sec. There is no rule for that but you have to compensate your ISO and aperture. And your exposure depends on the speed on the fireworks shooting and if you are applying other techniques on fireworks photography. :P

Hope this helps! Don't worry, I am also still learning. :P

All the best!

Cheers!

Another approach. If I remember correctly:

ISO 800
F/2.0
1/60
Handheld

Wow amazing :)

I learn something new everyday.

Longer exposures give the fireworks a more solid form while faster ones break it up :)
I've only tried taking a few firework shots (last new year lang) I will try this out soon.

Thanks Rovic and Marton for the compliments.

I've tried shooting fireworks handheld aswell.

As I have mentioned earlier, there is no rule to that but you are risking your opportunity. Nobody is going to hold you not to shoot fireworks with your camera handheld. At the end, it is the outcome that matters.

Nice photo Arnell, btw. :P

Here's a photo that I took that was used for ads at the Philippine Daily Inquirer last June 23, 2006. Page A18.

Thanks JE. You should try it one time. :P

BTW, this photo was on page 5 of the Philippine Daily Inquirer last July 28, 2006, Starmaker's ad for Mall of Asia's Fireworks show.
