The Dean of Philippine Photography, Richard "Dick" Baldovino passed away last Friday, 6 January 2007. He suffered a massive stroke 3 years ago, and since then his health has deteriorated, until recently he slipped into a coma. His body is at the St. Peter MEMORIAL CHAPELS Quezon Ave. in QC. Cremation will be tomorrow.

Tito Dick as he was fondly called, was a mentor to everyone. People watched the way he moved. They would listen everytime he would speak. It has been over three years since we last spoke to him, as he refused to accept visitors after the massive stroke. He wanted all of us to remember him the way he was the last time we were together.

Let us all pray for the repose of his soul.

Nick, it would be nice if you featured some works of Dick Baldovino in your future issues. Many do not know who he is, and why he earned the monicker, "Dean of Philippine Photography".

Read what people say about him - http://jessicarulestheuniverse.com/2007/01/07/mang-dick/
