Just wondering, is there such a thing?

I've been wanting to buy a EFS 10-22 lens but since its not compatible with FF cams, im quite hesistant. Im planning to buy the next gen 5D but would still keep my other 1.6x crop cams.

hmmm....

i think theres none so far...i saw a modified EF-S lens posted on the web, but i think its not very practical to damage the lens. ive been wanting the 10-22 but still in doubt having FF in mind.

I use a 14mm in my FF. that should be enough......unless the zoom feature is what you're after.

Assuming there is such a thing, using an EF-S lens in a full-frame body will yield SEVERE vignetting. Which in turn explains why there's no such thing.

A few years ago I read that someone actually sawed off a part of his EF-S 18-55's lens mount to make it fit on a 10D. That makes some sense since the 10D is also a 1.6x body. But doing that for compatibility with a 5D doesn't make any sense at this point.

why not just get the Canon 16-35mm F/2.8? it would go well with the 5D (FF camera) and the 1.6 camera you have

actually what i was thinking is like a teleconverter type. maybe a 1.6 multiplier which will make the lens a 16mm to 35mm equivalent without having to buy both the 16 to 35 and the 10 to 22 lens for each cam.

i think theres a good demand for this sort of thing.

i cant afford a 14mm yet :Dum:

i think using extension tubes will do, but you'll loose focus at certain distance to infinity ... i think... havent tried though :)

Kaya nga... get the 16-35mm. If you use it sa 5D, you'll get the equivalent of the 10-22mm using an APS-C sized sensor. Tapos usable pa siya sa 30D/20D mo
