Hi Guys, I already posted this on another site, just want to share it here. Thanks for viewing.

I just want to share with you the experience that my friends and family had last December 03. We went to Chosen Children Village Foundation, a village of safe haven, a home for life, for abandoned children who are physically and mentally challenged. It consists of several living cottages, a School, a Rehabilitation Center, and additional facilities. Chosen Children Village is a unique concept in the care of disabled children. The village was founded by Maria Angeles (Lita) Peypoch Fullerton in 1989. Her vision focused on a home environment in caring for Physically and Mentally Challenged Children within a family setting. The traditional institutional setting was something that she felt was not beneficial to the growth and development of such special children with demanding needs. The Chosen Children Village concept came about after the Las Piñas facility of Chosen Children Inc. was unable to cope with the volume of children needing a home and a family. Located in the cool, clean air of Silang, the 2.4 hectare parcel of land now houses cottages, chapel, school, administration clinic and physical therapy centers. The central focus is a spacious, multi purpose play area where the children fill the air with laughter and squeals of delight.

Last December 03 was their 13th year, and we we're fortunate enough to be invited and witness the talent of these loving kids. So sad that I wasn't able to take pictures of their musical performance "Sound Of Music" due to the capabilities of my point and shoot (their lighting was a little too dark for my A520)...

Nonetheless, when I went out of their gym, I was able to take some pictures of the "stars of the show".

This is not our first time to visit them, the first time was when I organized a fund raising together with my Car Club and gave some small things to keep the children happy (Old toys, clothes, food, diapers, milk, etc.)... And we will definitely go back...

Topy, I do support a kid at this foundation. In fact we've donated computers in the past that my former employer discarded due to the mellinium change.

In fact we can start an activity to take photographs of the kids, have them printed and framed so we can sell them to the various private supporters, company benefactors, and all funds generated will be channeled back to the support of the daily needs of these children. I am sure that this can be a worth while activity for DPP, Nick?
