My favo (Japanese version of Graphire 4) is still a few days old, and haven't seen anything like this yet.
/me crosses fingers
Maybe you can try the favo drivers if they'll work? It's in Japanese though. :S

The pen doesn't respond how? The cursor won't move? You cannot click on an icon by tapping the pen on the tablet?
In the event that the pen or tablet is defective, did you purchase your unit locally? I can help you with the warranty claim if the unit was purchased locally from an authorized distributor.
Jay Javier had an 11-month old tablet that was defective. We managed to get it replaced from the local distributor.

Happened to me twice.
Have u dropped the pen? U can always replace it with the spare tip. But, if it's not really working send it immediately for repair. Or get a new pen. :(

Both actually.. although the eraser works just fine. i can control the cursor with it, tap it, etc... it's just the pen that's not responding

It is possible to replace the nib if you are using the Intuos pen. The nib of the Intuos pen is user replaceable. I don't think the Graphire pen has the same option.
A new Graphire pen costs about P1,100 here in Manila or about $35 in the US.

Guys,
I have a graphire 2. it shakes a bit when I am using it. parang pasmado kamay ko effect. I ask others to use and it still the same effect. Is there away to eliminate the shaking? can't seem to adjust it using the software driver.
