Where can I get threads or screw for the camera mount. I am trying to modify my tripod.

Am not sure what you're going to modify in your tripod but if I am not mistaken, the common bolt size of SLR and smaller cameras is 1/4 inch... you can check out your friendly hardware store or DIY shop and check out the bolts available there...

I just notice the pitch of the thread for the mounting are bigger than the usual screws. Thanks. Will check the hardwares stores when they are open.

Leonard,

There are 2 screw sizes that are being used. The bigger one is 3/8-inch and accommodates the "Head". The "Head" on the other hand has 1/4-inch which accommodates the camera.

On some tripods and monopods, they have both. As stated above, the 3/8-inch is automatically used for the "Head". If one wants to put it the camera, the outer circle of the 3/8-inch screw can be pushed down and what remains is a 1/4-inch screw.
