I have done it before using a PS CS2 plug-in called the "Gradiant Blur", hmmm let me see if I can remember which site I got that, i'll get back on that guys.

It's called vignette. There are several ways of doing it and here's one:

1. Create a new layer on top of all layers.
2. Fill with black.
3. Change the blending mode to overlay (or soft light for more subtle effect)
4. Change zoom so you see the entire photo.
5. Use the eraser, change the size so it fills the entire height (for horizontal photos) or width (for vertical photos) and set opacity to 100% and hardness to 0%.
6. Gently erase the middle portion of the photo leaving just some on the corners.

Hope this helps.

Hey Guys - read through your thread. I'm not a big PShop user too ... I get intimidated by all the windows and commands ... though at some point I guess I would have to bite the bullet and study it extensively ... anyway, the reason why I'm posting a response here is that - you might want to also use this program:

MICROSOFT DIGITAL IMAGE PRO 10.

Its much simpler to use and the results, can be just as equally good and professional looking too. If you're familiar with Microsoft programs then this should be a breeze for you to use (ie. familiar interfaces, etc). Of course, nothing still beats PS - but for now, given your needs (and mine), this is a highly recommended program. ..

and yes, you can do the vignetting too (just recently 'discovered' how i can do this using MSDImage Pro 10. I'm sure you can source the program locally :> you know what I mean *wink.

Good day.

Jong's my mentor too. John J, I would just like to ask paano mo na flag ang light that it was concentrated on the bride and didn't spill over on to the guests. Wide discrepancy between the shadows and the light on the same plane - continuous light ba o strobes? Thanks.

OT @ john and pastor: mga ilonggo connections pala dito. i'm not an ilonggo but i often go to iloilo because my girlfriend is from there. anyway, i'll be going there at the end of this month to attend and shoot sa dinagyang festival niyo. perhaps we can set a photo eb for your fellow dpp ilonggos in iloilo. :D
