posting some pics from my recent trip to albay with gawad kalinga. the region was greatly devastated by typhoon reming, beyond what i saw from the news and what i have imagined. literally, you can see the mud that wiped out houses, planting fields, factories, etc. up to the horizon and in some areas you could still smell the stench of decaying bodies. it would take a very long time for the region to recover and would greatly need all the help we can provide.

Bro I find the last two photos too tight but awesome composition with the first set!

Shucks I wasn't able to go, how was it? I went to Cavite instead for a paid immersion/fixer gig. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The first photo is my favorite too. It seems the man on his bike is contemplating how this beautiful volcano could be an unforgiving monster at times. Mayon could be "the beauty and the beast in one".
Nice capture! TFS

yeah i agree. i can't stop staring at it nga because it is so MASSIVE and beautiful, she lures me not to stop staring at her. :) a lot of people are saying nga that this was a repeat of the 1814 eruption, the only thing is mayon did not erupt.

I really don't know what his secret is. It's a mystery *screams*

He's still there. He had to leave a Christmas party early to go to Bicol...ON THE 24th. grabe dedication...
