While in the mall, I picked up a copy of Time's Dec 18 issue, "The Best Photos of 2006". Lots of powerful stuff in it. Kinda interesting that in this digital age, the cover shows and old beat up rangefinder (yashica? leica?). Maybe Time's saying that a good number of photogs still use their "old school" tools.
You can view the images online here (http://www.time.com/time/yip/2006/). There seems to be more on the site than in the print version.

Yup, read copy of Time recently. I agree, some powerful pictures. Looking at the photos, you get to realize how blessed we are that we are not in a war-torn country. Well, have a blessed Christmas to everyone!

I just realized that there's alot of photos in the print version not available online. I don't think Stanmayer's "Place of Worship" is online, nor is Lauren Greenfield's "Bright Young Things". It amazes me how Greenfield gets access to private moments of everyday people. It's so raw.

i dream to be able to take a photo such as the second one. another photo that i like in the set is the man in the middle by brooks kraft, #17. it's something already to have a simple photograph of the three leaders together but to take it in the way that he did is truly something in my opinion. :)
