Can you please recommend what is the best camera for a newbie? Is Lumix DMC-LX3 recommended for newbies? Prior to owning an LX3, I had no interest in photography whatsoever. But now, I bring it with me everyday. Come to think of it, the LX3 is my 1st camera. But what about the zoom? The TZ10 has a 12x optical zoom vs. the LX3 which only has 2.5x. (I've seen LX3s selling 18k and TZ10s selling for 17.5k, both online.)
