hello, may I ask if anybody here uses a Lumix FZ50, what their impression of it is and if they could share some useful tricks and treats in using it?

Bought it in 2004 and used the FZ50 extensively in the US before parting with it and coming back home here in Pinas with my new baby toy, the GH1. It was sold to a friend to acquire the panasonic 20mm 1.7 pancake lens.

To give you an idea what my journey has been with this pro-sumer toy:

1. 2 features of POTD and monthly finalist at Digital Imaging Resource.
2. Grand Prize winner on Landscape Category, Digital Photographer Philippines' 3rd
anniversay photo contest.
3. Macro reader's forum feature in DPP mag issue.
4. Landscape image feature in LA Pinoy Times monthly magazine.

I say learn the basics, read the manual thoroughly, learn manual focusing. It's reliable in
daylight and early afternoon shoot, in low light conditions, like other pro-sumers, image noise
is it's main drawback.
