Hello!

Newbie here.
I'm saving up to migrate to Apple Mac and would like to try their software - Logic, Final Cut, etc. [SHAMELESS PLUG: I actually joined Fizzer.ph 'cause they're giving away a Macbook. If you can visit and register to the site using the link on my signature, that'll be great.]

Anyway, I would like to ask how Aperture is? Is it worth the investment? I use Final Cut + Logic kasi for videowork, not sure if I need Aperture.
My only experience with Photo Editing/Cataloging software is Google Picasa. I also use Photoshop for my work with an agency.

Help!

Hi Nick,

Aperture 2 is Apple's Professional Photo Editing and Management Software. It is a lot more similar to Adobe's Lightroom than to Photoshop. While you can import, manage, enhance, and share images with Aperture, you can't do masking, compositing, layering just like you would do with Photoshop.

Personally, I'm trying to use Aperture as part my workflow now because I find it very easy to use, very Apple like :).

If you want more resources about Aperture you can check out the following websites;

1. Apples Website (http://www.apple.com/aperture/tutorials/)
2. MacCreate (http://maccreate.com/)

Cheers,
