We are kicking off January 07 with a hard core Portrait issue. What? Portraits again you say? Well if we followed the beat of our UK principals, we should have launched a portrait issue for December. We held off and went for Cityscapes instead. So for January 2007 we are back to portraiture but this time with a little twist.

We want to see from our Readers something different. We will call it Alternative, Extreme, or Cutting Edge Portraiture. How do you define this? Its up to you. Just don't turn in a normal headshot cause that won't cut it. Your images should be something different.

Same rules apply:

1) 3 Submissions per Reader
2) Post in the Readers' Gallery. Wait for Nino Pasamonte to put up the gallery.
3) Deadline is December 31
4) We will contact you to send us a disc if we like your image. Remember that if we contact you, it doesn't necessarily mean your image will be printed in the magazine. We need to look at your files to see if it will print well.

Good luck everyone. January 07- Issue 08 has some big surprises and serious content. We hope to see some of your images there.

Show us something different everyone. We have some featured photographers inside for Issue 08-Jan 07 that will show different kinds of portraiture styles. Some are glamourous and some are just flat out different.

The Photographer of the Year 2007 is something different. We should make an announcement in January issue. The POTY will only require eight months of photo submissions so we can start this in Jan. Stay tuned. Just need to work out a few more details.
