i'm thinking how would sony ericsson's satio, it's 12.1mp camera phone would fare in terms of picture quality. afaik, it is now released in public.
i wish camera phones would have optical zoom. 3x optical zoom would do and a larger lens and image sensor

Wish they keep the resolution down to 4MP though. A PC sync port would be nice haha.

The best camera is the one with you all the time.
Doesn't matter if it is 12MP or 2MP. Or it uses a plastic lens or L lens. So long as you can take that shot, that is all that matters.

That's why my "car camera" is a 70-200 on any body, a point & shoot or at very least an iPhone.
No fear in car smash & grabs as I avoid places with high crime rates and store intelligently. :D

One of the reasons why I bought my current phone... 3+ MP is enough for a camera phone. It's quite funny to see SE & Samsung racing to 15+ MP for a camera phone.
Back to the article, the author has some valid points... like taking picture in inappropriate situations. But he shouldn't crucify the camera phone in general since it has it does have it's uses.
