If you read a few pages back on Sunday shooters, the meeting place is at Coffee Bean in High street (near market market) around 2 to 2:30 pm. I need to confirm it too though. lol.

I know one here in Makati, but I dont know how much it is now per hour. Before, The modeling agency i used to work rented a room there for its model's studio shoot. It cost them like 4,5K for a 5 hr. photoshoot..

The booths at Glorietta will most likely be free. The conference at AIM is not but its worth it to shell out 5k just to hear from manny librodo (his seminars usually cost 15k). I hope that there's a photo contest again in Glorietta just like last year.

based on experience, having at least two models could help us maximize the usage of the studio since we can shoot while the other is having her makeup done.

Gowns - I dont think we'll need this since we're not doing evening gowns... hehehe... More on fashion but have no idea yet. We're open to suggestions.

i believe melvin is inviting us for a separate shoot being headed by his group. problem is that it's on the same day as the studio shoot so it might be hectic to attend to both.

Total cost will depend on the number of photographers.

Basically the breakdown (unless we need to add some more)

1. Photo studio rental: 400 per hour
2. MUA makeup cost/fee: 250 per model
3. Transpo allowance for my model (she's from cavite kasi): no idea yet, waiting for her reply.

I agree! some (like me and John) are still beginners. we have so much to learn.

Then will just have another photoshoot nalang for those peepz who want to join. Will just organize it much better than this. as of now, we're lack of budget, so lets choose the most convenient option as possible..

Of course I would recommend Nikon branded flashes too (your cam is Nikon). But if you can't afford it, you can check out third party flashes such as Nissin, Sunpak, Metz. Each model has its strengths and weaknesses. :)

As for the reflector, I think we can use even the car's silver reflector (the one being put on the windshield.).


My current flash is Nissin Di622 Canon version. Since there is no firmware update yet for canon, it can't be triggered using a remote/IR trigger. Can only be triggered via optical (flash) means.

I have a reflector, 42 inch if Im not mistaken.
Got also a YN 460 manual flash, a trigger and reciever.

Just let me know our next shoot :D

For those who want to join on March 6 and March 13 strobist play please list your name, flash model, flash gel/filters and trigger/receiver model . Although, flash and trig/rx are not a requisite to join but we need a backup for my existing flash set. Mandatory to join is just your plain DSLR. For those who are using a piont and shoot or prosumer cams, sorry but a mandatory flash hotshoe is required for you to trigger the strobes. Currently I have the following equipment for the experiment:

1. 2 shoot through umbrella and stand
2. 2 RF602 trigger and 3 RF602 receiver (compatible to canon and nikon DSLR & flash except some Nissin model and very old flash - 1 pin)
3. 1 580EXII and 1 SB900 flash
4. CTO gel/filter - TN-A1 and TN-A2
5. green gel/filter - FL-G2 and FL-G2

Appreciate if anyone can add any of the list above for us to last until 9pm. :)
