Lens cost 28,500 @ JT and 26,800 @ ebay phil. anyone has it? I've read reviews and most tell that its superior than the tammy and sony's version. I'm planning to buy this lens before summer

What can you say guys about the lens? TIA!

i just tested this Lens last saturday when i went to FotoHub. I take a couple of shots and compared it to 50-200MM Sigma OS HSM. Same subject, aperture, shutter, ISO, WB & focal length settings. For me, this 18-250mm OS HSM lens is sharper than the sigma 50-200mm lens. I rather have this lens than the CANON EF-S 18-200mm IS.

Just a caveat. I've read that there are focal ranges that suffers a drop in sharpness just like the 18-200 HSM OS.

I went to Fotohub and ordered this lens. It was way past the cut-off period for orders so it would take about 2 months for the lens to arrive. :(

As with any other tele zoom, it is expected to perform well under 70mm (and under bright conditions at that). To see if this lens is really worth it, kindly test the long range...

I got this lens for our trip to HK last March because I did not want to bring my 70-200 f2.8. All I can say is that it is sharp. I had to try 2 copies as I was not satisfied with the first one, but then I was able to find one that was sharp. Like any lens that you will buy it is best to test it before purchasing it.

hi i just want to ask if the body of this lens is good.. i heard some reviews that the rubber on the focus ring peels after some time.. i just want to check if this is normal and the same as with tamron.. im curious because i think if i get this lens, i will be using this lens for a long period of time.. hehe.. thanks!

Finally got my 18-250 from Fotohub this p.m. The zoom ring is a little stiff when retracting the zoom otherwise everything else seems o.k. I understand the stiffness will ease up as the lens is subjected to use (and abuse).

Good day all!

I am currently scouting for an 18-200 or 55-200 lens but i got curious with this 18-250 of sigma.

I hope its ok if people would share their shots taken with this lens so as we could have multiple samples of it in action.

Thanks in advanced! :)

How much is the cheapest price for this lens? Anyone?
I am planing to buy this summer.
I am also considering 18-200 but if the price difference is little, I will go for this one.

Thanks

Hi guys, newbie here.
I'm also at a hunt for this lens, so far two stores just replied upon inquiry:
Henry's Professional (Glorietta 5 , Mkti) = P24,000
M20 Photoshop, Quiapo = P26,000
Watson, Quiapo = nil (they only got the Tamron 18-270mm for P21,800
Meantime awaiting text replies from Henry's (Quiapo) & Mayer's.
Happy hunting guys. :)
