some updates on the venue ..... called up Cupcakes of Sonja earlier today - the owner was not available so i might ring her back tomorrow. if im not mistaken this is the dessert place besides Mezza Luna (so this should be a familiar place to those who attended the first EB):) . the place is quite small but i personally like the place.

you guys decide and finalize the date so that i could try to set it up with the owners of the place.

food masters - lets organize this thing.. it would be a blast before the year ends :)

Yesterday, i was able to talked to the owner of Cupcakes. She agreed for us to shoot in her shop - however she requested to do it after Christmas and during off peak hours. We only need to settle the exact date and time for the event. She also requested for some prints of the shoot (dont have concerns on this... how about you guys?).

UPDATE: I was able to talk to Sonja (owner of the resto) again - she wont be there on the 28th but we can still push for the EB. She mentioned that we could hold another one next year in her shop and she'll be doing the more "complicated plated cupcakes" with all the fancy garnish on the side.

Is anybody or someone going to be bringing lights? Hehehe ... would be good if we can actually do some shoot na artificial lighting as well :> Just a thought ...

The suggestions for the artificial lights are great but as per Levi, its a small place so i think it won't be practical..lets make do na lang with natural light

guys, the place is pretty small actually. so setting up strobes and flash might not be the best option for this eb. lets use natural light on the 28th and lets just organize one EB that focus on the use of strobes on food (havent tried this myself!! hehehe).

I will bring my lights but leave 'em in the car. Bring your flash cords so you can have off center lighting inside the resto. Since there's a lot of us, I think most of us will end up shooting al fresco. The court yard outside the restaurant should make an interesting backdrop for those shooting wide. :)
