Yup Joe Rosenthal was an American Photographer. His picture became one of the best-known photographs of the war.
Thanks tet.
Raffy Crucillo 12-08-2006, 08:03 AM Louie,
Nice thread you setup here.
I was in DC last May, and I was looking for that monument... I didn't get to see it. :(
Was able to see the Vietnam Memorial, though.

Sayang Raffy!!! i could have shown you around, daming scenery sa D.C. saka the month of May is the best time of the year to shoot in D.C. yun nga lang you can't take pictures of Federal Buildings. Next time let me know so that i can tour you around.

edric_chen 12-08-2006, 05:25 PM @Louie - So my hunch was right. I presume that the building on the right of the first photo is the White House. Or is it not?
I haven't been to D.C. yet. I'm looking forward to going there in the future.

You're absolutely right Edric, that's the white house. Let me know if you have plans coming here, i can show you around. Lalo na sa red light district. heheheheh

Sure, but lol, no need to show me around there since it's not my cup of tea. :D I'll be happy enough to at least get into the White House. Hehe...that in itself would really be great. :)
zandy_marantal 12-09-2006, 12:34 AM Nice captures Louie.
It's good that you can still go out and shoot.

bernard billedo 12-09-2006, 07:41 PM Here's a good article about Rosenthal's iconic image that I've read a few months ago.
