First, a disclaimer or warning.
The following shots were taken during the 9th installment of the URCC at the San Juan Arena.
The URCC is a mixed martial arts competition, patterned after the likes of the UFC and the Pride FC.
Some may be offended by what appears to be a violent sport so this is an advance notice. If you are not comfortable with mixed martial arts events, then please do not look further.
For the others, thank you for looking. I love mma and I just wanted to share the following.

great shots, indeed! what lens did you use? What was your ISO setting? Opening? Speed? Did you use flash? I am interested in this type of sports coverage.

thanks.
was using a sigma 24-60mm f/2.8 and a 70-200mm f/2.8
was using tv mode most of the time - usually 1/200 to 1/320 and iso 800-1000 sometimes 1600
no flash except for the last pic

@Carlo
Is Fritz wearing a rash guard and surf shorts?!

This is why my friends and I don't watch anymore. The guys are wearing way too many clothes. :D

Nice pics guys. I miss watching URCC.

fritz is the urcc guy wearing a rashguard while frank "the crank" is the 17 yr old trenchtech, purebred warrior from saipan.

nope. but it was the kick that stunned fritz and allowed the takedown after. that takedown was the beginning of the end.

yup. i think they went to a clinch shortly after the kick but frank was able to take fritz down and reign down some punches. the entire fight laster less than a minute.

i can't belive frank is only 17 years old...we'll be seeing more of him in the future
