Manual lens work on the D200. Perhaps the newer D80 would accept them as well? What's the Manual say?

Hi Jonathan,

I have an old 35-105 nikkor w macro and 2x tele. i can shoot naman actually sharp pa rin kuha compare to my cheapo sigma, sa manual shutter lang and magalaw ko. and openning sa lens na.

hmm.. sabi sa D80 manual, non-CPU lenses may be used, but only when the camera is in M mode. selecting another mode disables the shutter release. aperture must be adjusted manually via the lens aperture ring and the camera autofocus system, metering, electronic analog exposure display, and TTL flash control can't be used. except where otherwise noted, the electronic range finder can be used with lenses that have a max aperture of f/5.6 or faster. kasama dun sa list is AI-modified, AI-, AI-S, or Series E Nikkor. :(

ano sa tingin nyo? go parin ba dun sa 55mm? maski trial and error ang mga exposure ko?

Go :) Its a sharp lens. I use manual lenses on my D70 and you won't get metering, eventually you get used to it :) Which I think is a good thing that you don't always rely on your in camera metering.
