Friends, I came across with this Tip on how to backup our photos in Flickr using this FlickrTouchr.
This is the link.
Link (http://hivelogic.com/articles/backing-up-flickr/)
However, after reading and trying with my limited knowledge, I could not get it work. This could be very helpful if done correctly.
Anyone to help out there?!
What's the needed software to run this?
TIA! :)

Hello Jeruel, first of all I need to know what OS you're running on. FlickrTouchr primarily runs on Linux/Unix systems. If you are on Windows you'll need to download and install Python for Windows to get this to work.
I'm currently downloading Python for Windows, and I have also saved the FlickrTouchr python code (save as .py not .txt on my hard drive) and I'll see what I can do with this and let you know.
**edit**
In order to build 32-bit debug and release executables, Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition is required at the very least.
impasse here, I have yet to find my Visual C++ installer.
short story: if you're not a code freak, don't do this at home :D
On a nix system this would be a breeze though because everything's bulit in. Hay ...

Hi Maam Bambit,
Thanks a lot for the assistance.
I am using Windows.
Yes, I will take note of your suggestions. Hoping that this will work just fine. :)

This is absolutely beautiful David! Thanks bunches :D
*update*
downloaded, ran ... so far so good.
tried to backup my old flickr account with more than 200pics in it, found out it only backed up the 500px versions. then again I ran everything on default settings. It also hung up after the second set.
Will do a bit more tweaking today and report again.
