Hi,

Just wondering where i would post pics or ask about taking pics of cars or other vehicles? Do i put them on street or advertising?
If not any of these is it possible to ask for an automotive showcase thread or something?

Bump is not allowed in the forum Marton. If you want to post it, it depends on how the photo was taken. If the car photo was used for advertising, post it there. Else, if you just took a photo of a car parked in the street, put it under the street thread.

Simple as that.

Ok sorry bout that.

But if it wasn't taken for advertising nor was it just taken on the street?

I was about to ask the same thing. I think Marton is looking at it from a perspective of automobiles as subjects. I'm assuming that "street" refers to "street photography" in this instance. A photo of a car parked alongside a curb doesn't exactly make it street photography if the car is the subject and not the car in relation to its environment or being a part of it.

I wanted to post a car exiting out of a curve at a race track but had a hard time categorizing it. It's not exactly sports since it's a private vehicle sans any livery. I guess I can post it under Digital whatever because I did some post processing to it. But then it's all about the "action" that I wanted to share.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys :)

Or if you took a picture of a motorbike or a plane ;) probably a transportation category would help.
