Watch this as well http://www.lightroomkillertips.com/2008/video-camera-profiles-for-lightroom/. Might want to read into these as well (trying to pimp DPP here hehe) http://www.flickr.com/photos/hangingpixels/389751194/ http://artoftheimage.blogspot.com/2009/07/lightroom-vs-canon-dpp.html Then again, my PC sucks so performance gains from using DPP plays a big part in my workflow from CR2 to JPG hehe. joelhgarcia 07-27-2009, 04:54 PM Hi Sir David- DPP user here... cant find the link where to download the new DPP version, do you have it? David/Rem- Thanks for the help Sir. ferdzfinonez 07-28-2009, 01:26 PM Hi sir, i have a question with regards to the sharpening option on DPP. Is it Ok to use it to adjust the sharpness of my photo or should I leave the sharpening job in PS for example? Thanks. David Tong 07-28-2009, 01:31 PM Depends on your workflow, i guess. Bulk of my photos are sharpened in DPP if they don't end up being printed. I find that you can increasing the sharpening quite a bit in DPP without ugly halos but you don't get the luxury of masking. ferdzfinonez 07-28-2009, 10:13 PM Ok thanks for pointing out the masking. chuckoreta 07-28-2009, 10:45 PM thanks David! been meaning to include DPP in my workflow but i just don't know where to start! i hope this will help. :D I think I shall too. :D Tried out the sharpening technique. Very nice. douglasferguson 01-04-2011, 05:34 PM Is it possible to straighten a tilted horizon or structure using DPP? I've been taking many RAW & Jpeg images but haven't had time to do any PP but now just getting started with the PP side of things. :) Thanks, Doug douglasferguson 01-04-2011, 05:43 PM Ok no probs, found it! Cheers  Leo.Magtibay 04-27-2011, 03:55 PM Hi! Can Canon DPP read CR2 files? I had to do a recovery on a formatted memory card and the raw files came up as cr2 (I have no idea if this supposed to be the file type as I am mostly a Nikon user.) When I tried to open the recovered files DPP is only able to let me view the jpg ones, the cr2 are detected but can't be viewed. If DPP can't support it, do you know any other software that can? Thanks for your assistance! :) David Tong 04-27-2011, 04:09 PM DPP supports all canon raw files... this works pretty well too http://www.stepok.net/eng/raw_importer.htm Leo.Magtibay 04-27-2011, 04:40 PM Thanks Sir David! I'll try the StepOk one... |
