When I was in charge of the golf brand before we launched DPP we came up with some really nice quality corporate shirts. Just class. We could even do this in a Ladies shirt with a collar or maybe even sleeveless. So I might as well explore this and update everyone soon.

Shirt- Its taking a while but I should be able to see some samples hopefully in less than two weeks. Again, we are going with a quality shirt so it will be a bit costlier than other shirts, but well worth it. I'll update when I have more news.

understandably, the quality of the shirt should be a big concern, and a major criteria in selecting possible suppliers (or are we through with that?). from what i've read here, it looks like black is the color of choice (hmm, looks like photographers here want to blend into the night, huh?). will that be the only color available?

don't get me wrong here, i'm not after anything like neon orange or polka-dotted shirts. how about having, maybe gray or white as alternatives. who knows, there might be someone here willing to buy more than one shirt, but in different colors? i probably would...:)

Hi Guys,

I went to Pacsports last week and they are still having an on-going sale for Nike Items. One of the items on sale - 20 to 40% Off is the Nike T-shirt. Perhaps, Sir Nick can negotiate for said item in order to lower down the cost. Aside from blending at night, black is preferred by Photographers to make them less visible or on "stealth mode" while shooting events and photo assignments.

Hi Nap,

There will be two options for DPP Shirts:

1) DPP Basic- This will be a custom designed Columbia shirt made for DPP. It will be black with a collar. DPP logo on left breast. Columbia logo on right sleeve. We will always have stock of these.

2) Columbia tech shirt- Columbia tech shirts with DPP logo will be custom items. We will be selecting around 5-10 designs that will be allowed for logo. Inventory for this will depend on what will be available with Columbia and will change with the season.

Yes, the shirt you saw featured will be custom DPP shirt.

We will be creating a special section here for DPP apparel once everything is finished. After speaking to Dino DeLeon of Columbia, its looking like end of April.

It is a good idea that DPP must have a t shirt for it's members that is affordable and have the right quality specially on the type of shirt and print that will be used.

And also to inform all members of DPP if it's available.

hahaha for some reason i have to agree but then again, it boils down to how and when you use it. if you travel a lot, spending thousands on your apparel is not as bad as it sounds. also, with that pricepoint, you are not only getting a genuine Columbia product with a DPP badge. you're getting a performance product that wicks away sweat (thus keeping you dry and comfortable) and provides sufficient UV protection that helps you enjoy the outdoors, or photography for that matter, much longer :)

sorry if the last statement was a hardsell...i'm not forcing you to buy our product but i just want to straighten out the perception on such products...it's not cheap but it's well worth it :)

I highly recommend Columbia Apparels. Do you ever wonder why John Chua always wears Columbia when he shoots? :D. Wearing a Columbia is the closest thing to be a John Chua :D. And with a DPP logo? You rock! (read: I wear a TNF :D).

I think you would get a faster turnover w/ DPP printed tshirts compared to 'buttoned' shirts.

Seriously, I'm currently wearing a pair of board shorts that I recently purchased from Columbia. They're very comfortable. At least you can wear it during the summer while you're at the beach :D

hi alov! like you, im a proud member so i wanted a shirt, got mine through their branch at gateway, you need to buy your shirt first and then wait for about a week to have the patch stitched on it. The shirt I got is a bit different though because the DPP logo of my shirt is a patch unlike the ones posted here which I think were embroidered or something like it :) Nevertheless, wearing it makes me feel proud of being a hobbyist and a member of this forum :)

The Digital Photographer Philippines Logo or trademark is okay because that's what all we want, being a proud member of the DPP, we want to stick the logo to our shirt. But Columbia, no offense but does everyone of us here bought our gear from columbia? I'm just a newbie in photography, actually, im a mountaineer since 2004 up to the present and just bought my DSLR at SM Manila last December, thus I do not know what are the ups and downs, left or right :) but kidding aside, shouldn't we get a discount from Columbia because we are promoting them every time we wear the shirt. Its ok to put the logo of Columbia if the shirt is sponsored by them, but we bought the shirt, we paid for it, or we will pay for it, thus, i think that the logo of DPP should be present at the shirt, unless we can get a discount from columbia.

Anyway, its just me.

I just came from Columbia Podium this afternoon and inquired about the DPP shirts. The sales person said that the only available ones are the short sleeve polos (nice material by the way) but it was kinda expensive..2,000++. I was actually looking for the cotton collared sports shirts but the guy said they didn't make DPP shirts for that model.

I really want to get one so please fill me in on the details...:)

is this no longer being offered by Columbia? I went to the Filinvest Alabang branch and they told me it was just a promo and no longer offered. I thought I read somewhere on this thread that we could still buy and just request to have DPP put on the shirt. Would like to get one if this is still possible. IF not maybe we can revive it. :)

I still vote for plain shirts with DPP and Columbia markings for the ff reasons:

1. Ought to be cheaper (so I can buy all the colors available)
2. You can spot a photog from a distance and know immediately he/she is a friend (have you ever experienced walking at a place with your photogear and see another group of photogs stare at you and you know you are both thinking, "is he/are they DPP?")
3. T-Shirts are wash and wear (OK, I hate ironing)
4. Easier to pack (fold/roll etc)
5. The current models available require you to wear another T-SHIRT inside. Less laundry therefore less pollution to environment. Less weight. Less stuff to bring along on long trips.
6. I can wear it to work on Fridays (as in every Friday)
