Hi Guys.

I am getting a Sigma 15-30mm wide angle lens. I have read a lot of good reviews about this lens. I am making the right decision here? I plan to make it my walk around lens to replace my kit lens (300D). I also have a Canon 70-300mm and a Canon 100-300mm.

What do you guys think?:Dum:

Hi nathan,
I have not been happy with my 18-55mm as a walk around lens since it doesn't zoom enough. With my 28-70mm, I "fulfilled" my need for more tele. however, 28mm isn't wide enough for some shots so I change lenses. I shoot most of the time in the 30+ range as I'm not a landscape junkie yet.

IMHO for me an 18-70mm for digital is a very workable range for a walkaround. 18-125++ is much better for convenience, and a longer reach. (of course IQ suffers the larger the range). If there is a 15mm-70mm, that would be perfect. however that doesn't exist. I'm getting myself a Nikkor 18-135mm for a walkaround soon.
