Hi!

I finally got my 24-105/4L last monday. Though I did test it inside the store, I would like to do additional tests to make sure that I didn't get a bad copy.

Do you have any suggestions on the tests that I can do?

Any feedback will be very much appreciated. :)

DPreview has a printable test chart that you can use. Shoot the test chart and see if you have back focus or not. Another option is to shoot with different apertures the test chart and see the resolving power of your lens.

What camera are you using? In addition to resolution, and back & front focus test, you might want to test for edge sharpness and vignetting as well if you're using a full frame SLR. I usually do my tests by shooting with slide film and found out mine has significant vignetting at 24mm @ f/4.

@Gerico, I will try to do that.

@Nino, Amboy, thanks for the links. I'll go through them.

@Bernard, I'm using a 30D.

@Derick, got it for P65K at Infomax Park Square 1.
