Guys, me and my friends are planning a trip to Ilocos region this weekend and I want to ask you tips on what to shoot in Vigan and Laoag. Should we have themes or photo challenges to aid us?

Hi Romy, you can shoot old churches too and their belltowers. Also include the Ilocano folks in theri daily grind. Capture moments when they are at work, at play, while having fun with their families. They are an interesting lot. I had a great time when we visited Ilocandia during holy week. Have much respect for the hardworking Ilocano....

enjoy.....:)

If you have wides, bring them along. It will come in handy when shooting landscapes and structures. Wide to medium zooms will be ok. Too many lenses are a pain to carry when you move around. All I needed was my ultra wide 12-24 and my trusty 18=135.
