Bago is a small city 14 km south of Bacolod. I was in the area, it was marketday, and I had my camera. Even though the light was starting to get harsh (almost 9am), Shooting was a foregone conclusion.

Taken with the D50, Nikkor 35-70/2.8.
I was on solo flight, shooting all alone, but for some strange reason, I never felt scared or praning. I'm no veteran of marketplaces, but I had this feeling that the people at that Bago City market were especially nice and friendly.
I was also nursing a hangover, and found out that I was on iso800 only afterwards.

I am not yet comfortable shooting a crowded place like public markets. Albeit, interesting finds are abundant like the one peddled by the old lady in the picture. Taken in Public Market of Mayantoc, Tarlac.

markets are always an interesting place to photograph...it's unfortunate that markets in manila are not photography/er-friendly...always some security guard asking you for a permit...at least in the province it's not the same

@ana... hey ma-ao is nearby. (everything in bacolod is nearby haha) i bet there should be interesting stuff to shoot there. If you go home to visit, let me know.
@mario... Silay? I live there. If you happen to pass by the general again, let me know. Guapple pie is just the tip of the culinary iceberg.
@hochi... wow, even in marketplaces they ask for permits? amazingly irritating :D
Markets are wonderful places. Lotsa peculiar characters and interesting stuff.
